1. Plans
LaCarte.live offers three full subscription plans. Each of them includes the entire functionality of the Platform, including the daily lunch menu at no additional charge. A separate paid lunch-only package is no longer offered. Current pricing is on the homepage and in-app at plan selection.
| Plan | Price | Period | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | €35.99 | 1 month | Auto-renews monthly |
| 6-Month | €160.00 | 6 months | Auto-renews every 6 months |
| Yearly | €300.00 | 12 months | Auto-renews annually |
All prices in EUR. The Provider is registered under Art. 97a of the Bulgarian VAT Act and does not charge VAT on the price; for supplies to a VAT-registered (taxable) person in another EU Member State the reverse-charge mechanism under Art. 21(2) of the Bulgarian VAT Act applies, and VAT is self-accounted by the Customer in its own country.
2. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (PCI-DSS Level 1). Methods: credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex); SEPA Direct Debit (where available); other methods available in Stripe Checkout for your region. The Provider does not store card data — Stripe handles it directly.
3. Invoicing and business details
Before first payment the Customer must provide complete business details (company name, registration number, VAT ID if applicable, registered office, authorised representative). These are used to issue invoices, forward to Stripe as metadata, and document the B2B nature of the transaction. Invoices are sent by e-mail automatically and accessible in OwnerView → Settings → Payment History.
4. Auto-renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless the Customer cancels first. On payment failure: Stripe retries for up to 7 days; the Customer receives reminder e-mails; if all retries fail, the account moves to "Past Due", and after 14 days to "Suspended" (public menu access blocked); after 30 days in "Suspended" the account is permanently terminated.
5. Plan changes
The Customer may change plan at any time from OwnerView → Settings → Subscription:
- Upgrade: takes effect immediately; the difference is pro-rated for the remaining period.
- Downgrade: takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refund.
6. Termination by the Customer
The Customer may cancel anytime from OwnerView → Settings → Subscription → "Cancel" or by e-mailing hello@lacarte.live. Access is retained until the end of the paid period. No refund of paid amounts (see Section 8 for exceptions).
7. Termination by the Provider
The Provider may terminate the account without prior notice in case of: non-payment; breach of prohibited activities in the Terms; false registration information; fraudulent or illegal use of the Platform; access-rights abuse. In such cases paid amounts are not refunded and the Customer remains liable for unpaid fees.
8. Refund Policy
In principle paid amounts are non-refundable. Refunds (pro-rated for the affected period) are issued only:
- For proven material breach by the Provider — continuous unavailability of the Platform's core functionality for more than 24 consecutive hours for a reason attributable to the Provider (i.e. below the 99.5% monthly availability committed in the Terms of Use), provided the Customer notified the Provider in writing at hello@lacarte.live and the outage was not resolved within a reasonable technical time. The refunded amount is proportional to the period of unavailability;
- For incorrectly charged amounts due to our technical error;
- For duplicate payments — refunded automatically or on request.
Requests are handled within 14 business days. Refund via the original payment method within 30 days of approval. This policy does not limit the Customer's rights in the event of an actual material breach by the Provider under applicable law.
Not eligible for refund: cancellations before period end; unused features; customer business strategy changes or loss of interest; forced termination due to breach.
9. Promotions and discounts
The Provider may offer promotional rates or discounts periodically. Such offers apply only to new customers and/or stated periods. Standard pricing resumes when the promotion ends.
10. Price changes
The Provider reserves the right to change plans and pricing. For existing active subscriptions, changes take effect from the next billing period, provided the Customer is notified at least 30 days in advance. The Customer may terminate without penalty if they disagree with the new pricing.
Discontinuation of a plan. The Provider may discontinue offering an individual pricing plan to new customers at any time, without affecting subscriptions already concluded. Subscriptions running under a discontinued plan continue until the end of the current paid period, after which the Customer may select another available plan; absent such a choice the subscription is not renewed and no amounts are due. As of 11 August 2026 the "Lunch menu" package is no longer offered — lunch functionality is included at no additional charge in all full plans under Section 1. Free (gift) access to lunch functionality granted before that date is governed by Section 11.
11. Demonstration (demo) access
11.1. Nature and grant. Demonstration access ("demo access") is a free of charge, fixed-term and revocable right to use the Platform, granted by the Provider solely at its own discretion to registered customers without a paid subscription, following prior contact between the parties. Demo access is not a public offer and gives the Customer no right to demand that it be granted, renewed or extended; a refusal by the Provider requires no justification and gives rise to no liability.
11.2. Duration and activation. Demo access is activated manually by an administrator of the Provider for a term of 1, 2 or 3 months, specified upon activation. The term may be extended only in the same manner — by an express manual action of the Provider. Failure to extend does not constitute a waiver of any right and gives rise to no claims.
11.3. No consideration. Demo access is entirely free of charge: it requires no payment card or other payment instrument, involves no charging and no invoice is issued, as there is no supply against consideration. The Customer owes no payment either during demo access or after its expiry or termination.
11.4. Demo access is not a trial. Demo access is not a free trial period converting into a paid subscription. Upon its expiry or termination no payment obligation arises and access does NOT automatically convert into a paid subscription. A subscription relationship arises solely through the Customer's express, active selection of a paid plan and a confirmed payment under Sections 1 and 2.
11.5. Scope of use. During demo access the Customer uses the full functionality of the Platform, including the artificial-intelligence features, subject to the usual daily limits applicable to the relevant feature. The Provider may change those limits in view of technical load and cost. The Terms of Service apply in full, including the provisions on prohibited activities.
11.6. Termination and consequences. The Provider may terminate demo access at any time, without notice and without compensation, including for breach of the Terms of Service, for abuse or for attempts to circumvent limitations. Upon expiry of the term or early termination, the Customer's access to the administration panel (OwnerView) ceases and, at the next login, the Customer is presented with the paid-plan selection form. Access can be resumed only by entering into a paid subscription or by a new manual extension at the Provider's discretion.
11.7. Retention of data. Content created by the Customer (menu, images, translations, settings) is not deleted upon expiry or termination of demo access. It is retained in an inactive state for 12 (twelve) months so that it can be restored upon a subsequent subscription; after that period the Provider may delete it. The Customer may at any time request earlier deletion in writing at hello@lacarte.live. Processing of personal data during that period is governed by the Privacy Policy.
11.8. Public (guest-facing) menu after demo access ends. The publicly accessible menu of the venue, opened via QR code or link, may remain available to guests after demo access expires or is terminated, until the Provider discontinues it. This is a technical possibility and not an undertaking: the Provider gives no guarantee as to duration, availability, support or updating of the public menu after the end of demo access, the service levels under the Terms of Service do not apply to that period, and the Provider may discontinue it at any time, without notice. The Customer may request its discontinuation at any time. For the entire period during which the menu remains publicly accessible, the Customer remains responsible for the accuracy and currency of the published content (including prices, composition and allergens) and must request its discontinuation if it does not wish it to remain public.
11.9. Liability for free access. As demo access is provided free of charge, the Provider's liability in connection with it is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence. The availability guarantees and the refund rules under Section 8 do not apply to demo access, as no amounts have been paid under it.
11.10. Trial period. The Provider may offer a paid plan preceded by a free trial period only on the basis of an express offer in which the duration, the price applicable after expiry and the cancellation procedure are stated in advance and confirmed by the Customer at checkout. Outside such an express and confirmed offer the Provider performs no automatic charging.
11.11. Pre-existing free (gift) access. Free access to lunch functionality granted before 11 August 2026 is preserved until the end of its specified term and is governed by the rules of this Section. Upon its expiry or termination no payment obligation arises; continued use is possible only through the express selection of one of the full plans currently offered under Section 1.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and the subscription contract are governed by Bulgarian law. As the Customer is a merchant/legal entity (B2B), consumer protections do not apply.
Any dispute not settled out of court is subject to the competent Bulgarian court at the Provider's registered seat — Burgas. For customers established in another EU Member State, the applicable law is determined under Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I) and jurisdiction under Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels Ia); the parties agree to the jurisdiction of the Bulgarian court at the Provider's seat, to the extent permitted for business-to-business contracts.
